Lesson in the art of wrangling

My friend L came over for our first sleepover ever.

We go to fencing together so Maman picked us up there, took us out to dinner and she gave the relay to Papa who took us to see Kung Fu Panda 3 in 3D.
Fun we had and late we fell asleep.
But early we also woke up much to Maman's chagrin...

We played board games; actually we played one board game again and again: Memoir 44.

We of course had to watch a minecraft video:
But the main attraction of the day was the one that, cost wise, needed the less investment:
- Take two kids
- Find a large enough room
- Take a blanket
- Have pillows ready.
That's it. Wrestling and wrangling each other while throwing pillows and screaming super high pitch sounds got us entertained for 3 hours! Yes, 3!
The next morning when I woke up, I could barely move... I am not used to make my muscles work like that for so long!

Take a look!

The acrobat in the house

Yes, that would be me!

With my team, the Spaghettis, we performed an acrobatic show at my school. As you will see, the girls were the al dente Spaghettis and I was more on the overcook side of things.
The important thing is to have fun, and I sure had fun doing this, trying hard to had some other circus acts in the show like, being a clown for example.

Maman stopped recording before I did my improv in front of all the parents who were recording the show. I stood up and said: "Videos and pictures are copyrighted. Do not sell them."

Ok, so we are not selling this one, just sharing...
Enjoy

What can happen in 3 months?

A lot.
Too much.
Not enough time to make it to here.

But here it is.
Condensed.
Letting the pictures talk for themselves.

Halloween...
I am becoming the minimalist when it comes to costume. As long as it gets me to go outdoors to knock on doors, it's good. Less work for Maman for sure!

November came and we had a delicious dinner for Papa's birthday. He is older than me. That's all you need to know :)

And then it was Thanksgiving. Sunny. Blue skies.
Then the rain came.
It has not left but for a few cold, very cold days and two snow days.
A lot of water has been falling down for sure.
Good thing it was warm and cozy inside. Our December decor came back and it helped put light into the grey, grey days.

Mamie had arrived from France just after flooding rivers receded a little bit and soon we were on a break. Sleeping till 9:00am was GREAT!
We did not spend much time outside so there was plenty of time to cook inside and then enjoy delicious meals.
Papa made a great Christmas eve dinner with a pear, walnut and blue cheese salad, followed by barbecued beef, double baked potatoes and cashew ginger green beans. Mamie loved it all . Maman helped with appetizers and the traditional Buche de Noël.

The next day of course, I was SUPER excited to see what was under the tree... Needless to say: I was SPOILED.

A lot of books of course but also fun board games; my favorite being Memoir 44... not that easy to learn how to play though.
In between showers, Maman and Mamie went for little walks but they really had to pick the right time. Only once did they come back soaking wet from head to toe! I joined a few times but, walking? Hum, no thank you. Except for the time we took the MAX and rode downtown then walked all the way to the new Tillikum bridge. Cool bridge!

The end of the year came fast... And it was time to celebrate again.
Maman made little plates that we devoured... for 2 days! She had made a lot!

For dessert, Maman prepared 7 different type of chocolate and we were supposed to guess which one was which.

Papa won with 7 out 7. I guessed 5 and Mamie, well, let's say that she does not eat chocolate every day like us! But we all won a price anyway!

We played games, did puzzles and soon it was supposed to be time to go to school but the weather decided other wise and I was not complaining: snow, then ice = two days off extra!

Finally the year started at school and soon Mamie flew back to France and back to car-work-car-sleep we went...
There was a little break in the weather right at the start of January though and Papa took me for my first experience of snowshoeing. And let me tell you: I do not like walking but snowshoeing was FUN. I declared it the best day of my life. And it was a beautiful day at the mountain.

By mid-January it was time for a little trip down to see Tina and Lilian: to the bounce house we went: Lilian is 2 but she has more energy than me and is quite a little acrobat. No fear.
It was a fun place to let steam out on another pouring down rain day!

Maman had a hard time getting a picture of us... well, ok... those are 3 out of many tries... I was trying hard to make it NOT work... You are welcome.

Well, this is what can happen in 3 months and even if 2016 is well on its way: Happy New Year !

And to finish it all... a little video.
